Our daughter started here at 18 months and was a great place to grow. This is a small school with a very good teacher-student ratio so there is individual attention. Cynthia has been consistent since day 1 in taking care of the kids. Even during pandemic, they had nurses teach children about the importance of masks and washing hands. The prices are nominal. Lunch is served but you can also send your own to work with the kid’s palette and they accommodate it. The location is very central and easy to access.—-Parent A.
My son Lounes started with crystal garden at 18 months old. And was the best decision I ever made. I was very stressful when I sent him the first day as he used to stay just with me most of the time and very attached to me, he did very good at his first day, taking a nap and eating well. Cynthia is very kind and they give a lot of care especially in the beginning in order for the child to adapt quickly. The most thing I like more is that the warm feeling of the daycare that I noticed when I first visited by seeing the kids welcoming my son and being very friendly. Our daughter has been attending Crystal Garden Montessori for almost 2 years. She came from an in-home daycare, so we thought it was best to move her on to a program that will not only teach her more than just the basics of preschool learning, but a different language as well. She is learning how to write and we are extremely impressed that she can spell her name (she learned how to spell her name at this school a while ago). She is learning Mandarin while attending Crystal Garden Montessori which is a first for anyone in our family.
During the pandemic, they brought in Student Nurses to teach the kids various techniques on washing hands and social distancing. This is small school so the kids are not fighting for attention from the caregivers. They feed the kids lunch (bring your own snacks and favorite cup) and encourage healthy eating. My almost 2 year old son has been going to this place for the last 5 months and we can’t be happier about it. It took him relatively short time to get adjusted and soon he became excited to be brought and left there. Cynthia (the teacher) is very warm with children and my boy is mentioning her at home very often. The class size is small so that kids get a lot of attention. My boy learned to eat on his own there and also stared speaking English (at home he is not exposed much to English). They learn numbers, letters, shapes, songs and do a lot of art projects. Almost every day he brings home some material that they have been working on so that I have an idea of the type of activity he’s been up to on that day. There are a lot of things I like about this place along with my son but overall he’s learning a lot of new things and is happy. He came from a home day care where he had no specific routine or activities designed to boost his skills. He was surrounded by infants who barely walked so not much peer to peer communication or play. He didn’t learn any english during his 1 year at the home day care. It’s in central Fremont making the location great for us. They have a turn around that goes through behind the building which is a great way to see their facility for the first time and easy to leave during drop off without needing to back up. Cynthia (the owner) greets us at the door every morning and hasn’t missed a day since we enrolled my son here about 2 months ago now as a 26 month old. Her response time to queries is very quick (through yelp or email) and hasn’t changed since I first contacted her.
—Activities: It looks like there’s a new activity each day to help boost his skills. Some of these are sent home with you and I can see that there aren’t many repeats. He learned to pedal a 3 wheel bike in 1.5 – 2 weeks. They get to spend time outside twice a day so lots of sun and just what kids should be getting.
–Academic: My son was not taught english until we enrolled him here so it’s nice to see that he’s picked up quite a few new english phrases/ words. He’s able to count numbers and recognizes many colors. Each week he’d learn a new rhyme and would surprise us at home. He confidently sings and dances to tunes.
–Meals: My son went from being spoon fed for all his meals to preferring to eat on his own. Meals and snacks are supplied so he’s getting to try new food which is a welcome relief for me especially since he likes trying new food.
During the initial days it was tough to leave him in a new place as expected but I could see that he warmed up to Cynthia in a matter of few days. As a parent, I know how important this is to see and especially in the initial weeks. The ratio of teacher to student is small so I can see that they give individual attention to the kids. This is great for us because he’s a very curious boy and I can see that his individuality is still intact as this is an important factor for us. Cynthia makes an effort to know his likes and dislikes which is reassuring as well. We get regular feedback during pick up and emails with pictures of his progress and we’re always happy to see such updates. I would definitely recommend this place. ————–Parent Dh.
My daughter was a fussy eater and had random sleeping habits, but she started eating and sleeping well within a few weeks in the day care. My daughter gets personal attention from Ms Cynthia and is well taken care of. She has learned alphabets,woods,colors,games,dance and songs. She gets her arts and crafts everyday at home. I am so happy to have found Crystal Montessori Daycare for my daughter. Cynthia is a wonderful teacher and is extremely good with children. She is very accommodating and always ready to help, I was amazed to this and couldn’t be more happier. The class size is small so each child gets personal attention and are very well taken care of. My daughter in just two months learnt her alphabets, arts, crafts,and rhymes. She has become interactive, attentive and is more aware of her surroundings. The daycare is well maintained and has many playful activities for kids. My little one is super happy when I drop her off and is cheerful and smiling when I pick her up so this puts a smile on my face too. My daughter loves it there and it shows. Our toddler developed well at Crystal Garden; we asked Cynthia (center director) to help them with socialization skills. Within six months, our toddler went from solo play to befriending every other kid at the center. We noticed them being much happier, verbalizing more, and coming home with fun art projects. Cynthia makes it a point to celebrate a host of diverse holidays, and teach the kids in order to prepare them for preschool and beyond. We were able to work out a part-time schedule around our child’s other commitments and were very satisfied with the quality of care for the rate we received. Diaper care was also available, and potty training support was available once our toddler was ready. Thank you Crystal Garden for providing our child with a valuable and caring start!

Our 4 yr old son has been attending Crystal Garden Montessori for ~1.5 yrs now. In this time he has developed a lot socially. He talks about his friends at school and meeting them every day is a great motivator for him to go to school. Every day he brings home new things he has learned or worked on at school. Overall, we loved the experience our son had at Crystal Garden. Cynthia, his teacher takes great care of my son and has taught him to be social, kind and academically taught him numbers, alphabets and a lot of songs. My son is able to count up to 100, write alphabets, draw objects, describe his pictures etc. Which I believe is a great improvement in his development. They provide meals, which works great for us as busy parents. The price is very reasonable.

My 2.5 year old son has been attending Crystal Garden since April 2023! He has developed such great social and new language skills! I love that he comes home with activities they’ve worked on during his time there. The hours are super convenient as well. Cynthia is such a sweetheart and very understanding on the days my son struggles in the morning to be dropped off. I’m so happy with my decision of enrolling my son here!!
